FANUC A16B-2200-0391 is a legacy first/second-axis serial servo control PCB used in compatible FANUC Series 0-C and 0-D CNC configurations. The plug-in board provides one or two channels of Serial Type A servo control between the CNC and its axis-drive system.

This is an axis-control daughterboard, not the CNC master board, memory board or machine I/O board. It is commonly associated with 0-TC and 0-TD controls, but the complete CNC configuration and PCB revision must be checked before replacement.

Serial Axis-Control Function

The A16B-2200-0391 transfers CNC motion commands and servo-status data for up to two feed axes through the Serial Type A interface. It works as part of the control hardware architecture and does not independently store the machine program, parameters or PMC ladder.

Compatibility and Revision Checks

Confirm A16B-2200-0391 on the PCB and compare any revision marking printed after the base number, such as a slash code. Also verify the CNC model, master PCB, servo interface type, connector layout, installed components and machine-tool configuration. Similar A16B-2200 boards are not automatically interchangeable.

Testing and Installation Notes
