The Mitsubishi FCA65-A is a legacy MELDAS M65 CNC control unit for NC processing, PLC operation, program/parameter memory and machine communication. It is a CNC controller, not a standalone general-purpose PLC.
Mitsubishi documentation identifies FCU6-MU021 as the M65 control-unit set compatible with FCA65-A and FCA65-P1 systems. Installed software, memory and machine-builder data must still match the original configuration.

MELDAS M65 Control Architecture
The FCA65-A-compatible design uses the HR114 main CPU card for CNC processing, PLC execution and external I/O control. Its 64-bit RISC architecture uses DRAM for system work, FROM for system/boot ROM and SRAM for programs and parameter backup. HR171 provides operation-board, I/O-link and communication interfaces. FCU6-MU021 is high-speed program-server compatible, depending on installed options.
Replacement and System Compatibility
FCA65-A is not automatically interchangeable with FCA65-P1, FCA65S, FCA64 or FCA66. Confirm the complete unit number, installed cards, FCU6-HR412 cassette, communication type, software, parameters, PLC ladder, connectors and machine configuration. FCU6-MU021 compatibility does not make an unconfigured unit plug-and-play.
Testing and Installation Notes
REACO CNC checks the label, housing, cards, connectors, power circuit, battery/memory status, system startup, communication and I/O functions as applicable. Back up parameters, programs and PLC data before removal. The supplied card and cassette configuration should match the photos or quotation.
