Discontinued 100W SSCNET Servo Amplifier
Mitsubishi MR-J2-10B is a 100W AC servo amplifier from the discontinued MELSERVO-J2 series. The B-interface model receives motion commands through the original SSCNET network, with CN1A and CN1B used for bus connections and CN2 used for the compatible servo-motor encoder.
Verified Power and Control Characteristics
The MR-J2-10B uses sine-wave PWM and current control with a built-in dynamic brake. Its main circuit supports three-phase 200–230VAC. Single-phase 230VAC operation is limited to manufacturer-specified HC-MF and HA-FF motor combinations and should not be assumed for every installation.
Difference Between MR-J2-10B, MR-J2-10A and MR-J2S-10B
MR-J2-10B is the original SSCNET-interface model. MR-J2-10A uses a general-purpose command interface, while MR-J2S-10B belongs to the later MELSERVO-J2-Super generation. Similar capacity and appearance do not confirm identical command interfaces, parameters or system compatibility.
MR-J4-10B Migration Is Not a Direct Replacement
Mitsubishi lists MR-J4-10B as an example migration model when the amplifier and motor are upgraded as a set. However, MR-J2-B uses the original metal-cable SSCNET network, whereas MR-J4-B uses SSCNET III optical communication. Bus cables, encoder cables, power connectors and parameter settings must therefore be reviewed during migration.

Confirm the complete MR-J2-10B nameplate, including any suffix, together with the input voltage, servo-motor model, motion controller, SSCNET cable, axis setting, CN1A/CN1B and CN2 connectors, terminal layout and parameter backup.
