βiA1000 Absolute Feedback and Brake

The βiA1000 pulse coder provides absolute position and speed feedback at 1,000,000 divisions per revolution. The integrated 24VDC brake is intended to hold the stopped axis when correctly controlled; it is not a substitute for normal dynamic deceleration by the servo system.

A06B-2078 identifies the βiSc 12/3000-B motor family. In B407, “4” specifies a straight shaft without keyway plus a 24VDC brake, while “7” identifies βiA1000 feedback for the βiSc configuration. Do not substitute B007, B107, B207, B307 or B507 without confirming the shaft, brake, connectors, amplifier and machine parameters.

Testing and Installation
