The FANUC A20B-8101-0601 is a mini-slot line tracking interface board for compatible FANUC industrial robot controllers. It receives conveyor or external-axis position feedback from a supported pulse coder, allowing the robot to coordinate its motion with workpieces moving along a production line.
The board is documented for FANUC R-30iB, R-30iB Plus and related controller configurations. Its principal interfaces include the JRF3 pulse-coder connection and COP10B fiber-optic connection.

Robot Line Tracking Function
In a line-tracking application, the external pulse coder measures conveyor movement and sends position feedback through the interface board. The robot controller uses this feedback to synchronize picking, handling, processing or placement operations with a moving workpiece.
Pulse Coder and Kit Compatibility
FANUC documentation associates this board with selected A860-0301-T001 to T004 incremental pulse coders and the A860-0372-T001 αA1000S pulse coder. The A05B-2600-J036 kit can include A20B-8101-0601 and an A66L-6001-0023 fiber-optic cable. Encoder cables, fiber cables and mounting hardware are not included unless stated in the quotation.
Replacement and Installation Checks
Confirm A20B-8101-0601 on the original PCB and verify the controller model, cabinet type, mini-slot availability, line-tracking software option, encoder type, cable part numbers and connector arrangement. Do not substitute the wide-mini-slot A20B-8101-0421 solely because both boards support line tracking.
REACO CNC checks the model label, PCB, components, connectors, fiber interface and communication functions as applicable. Installation, shielding, cable routing and line-tracking calibration should follow the FANUC robot manual and be completed by qualified personnel.
