Mitsubishi WN792 WN792A M80V Front Memory Interface Card

The Mitsubishi WN792 is a front memory interface card used in Mitsubishi M80V CNC control hardware. It provides front USB memory access and SD/SDHC card interfaces for CNC data transfer, backup and maintenance. WN792 is model-specific and must be matched by its exact marking, revision and host control-unit configuration.

USB and SD Memory Interface Function

WN792 connects the M80V control unit to its removable memory interfaces. The front USB port supports USB 2.0 Hi-Speed memory devices, while the SD interfaces support SD and SDHC cards up to 32 GB. They are used for model-dependent CNC file handling, data backup and service work. Only supported memory devices should be connected.

WN792 Compatibility and Model Matching

Confirm the WN792 marking, any suffix or PCB revision, secondary assembly code, connector arrangement and complete CNC control-unit model. WN791, WN792 and WN793 should not be treated as interchangeable solely because their numbers are similar. Photo-based identification reduces the risk of an incompatible replacement.

Testing and Replacement

Each available WN792 card is inspected for damaged slots, bent contacts, corrosion, component damage and board-edge wear. Functional testing checks interface recognition and stable memory access on a compatible configuration. Replacement is appropriate only after the USB/SD fault, cabling and host unit have been diagnosed. Power must be off and ESD protection used during installation or media removal.
