Official β6/2000 Motor Specifications
- Manufacturer: FANUC
- Part number: A06B-0034-B077
- Motor series: FANUC β Series
- Motor model: β6/2000
- Rated output: 0.9 kW
- Rated speed: 2,000 min⁻¹
- Rated torque at stall: 6.0 N·m
- Continuous RMS current at stall: 5.6 A
- Rotor inertia: 0.0039 kg·m²
- Approximate motor mass: 8.5 kg
- Shaft: Smooth straight shaft without keyway
- Brake: No holding brake
- Feedback: βI32B incremental pulse coder
- Feedback resolution: 32,768 divisions per revolution
The FANUC manual lists a maximum rotation speed of 3,000 min⁻¹ only when suitable HRV control is applied. Under conventional control, the specified maximum remains 2,000 min⁻¹. Actual operation must follow the original CNC, amplifier and machine settings.
How the B077 Number Defines the Motor
A06B-0034 identifies the β6/2000 motor family. In the B077 configuration, “0” specifies a straight shaft without a brake and “77” specifies the βI32B incremental pulse coder. This coding is important when comparing motors that share the same β6/2000 frame.
Incremental Feedback and Related Versions
The βI32B supplies serial incremental position feedback and is not an absolute encoder. The similar A06B-0034-B075 uses βA32B absolute feedback, while A06B-0034-B177 adds a 90 VDC holding brake to the straight-shaft βI32B configuration.
Changing between incremental and absolute feedback can require different CNC settings, battery arrangements and compatible control hardware. These models should not be treated as automatic substitutes.
Straight Shaft and Modification Suffix
The base motor is also indexed as A06B-0034-B077#7000. FANUC specifies the #0008 modification for a straight shaft with a key, while other market suffixes may indicate keyway, sealing or approval changes. Keyed versions should not be supplied for a smooth-shaft application without checking the coupling.
Compatibility Check Before Ordering
Verify the complete nameplate number, β6/2000 requirement, smooth straight shaft, no-brake configuration, βI32B pulse coder, connectors, servo amplifier and CNC parameters. REACO CNC can review photos of the nameplate, shaft and connectors before purchase.
