βiA128 Absolute Feedback

The βiA128, also written as B128iA in some listings, is the motor's absolute position-feedback device. FANUC documentation identifies this pulse-coder option for applicable FS0i configurations. It should not be interpreted as a shaft key or built-in brake.

Absolute-position retention depends on the associated backup-battery circuit. Check battery condition and follow the machine manufacturer's pulse-coder disconnection procedure before removing the motor.

B003 Shaft and Brake Identification

Within this motor family, A06B-0061-B003 is the tapered-shaft version without a brake. Related configurations include B103 with a straight shaft and no brake, B303 with a tapered shaft and brake, and B403 with a straight shaft and brake. These versions are mechanically different and should not be treated as direct substitutes.
