Mitsubishi SJ-PF11-01Z is an SJ-PF Series AC spindle motor for CNC machine tools using compatible Mitsubishi MELDAS spindle drives. The SJ-PF11 family provides a 7.5kW continuous rating and an 11kW 30-minute rating at its 1,500rpm rated-speed region.

The final Z denotes a special specification. Shaft, maximum speed, detector, connectors and machine-specific details must be checked from the complete SJ-PF11-01Z nameplate rather than assumed from the standard SJ-PF11-01.

Spindle Output Characteristics

The standard SJ-PF11-01 curve provides 7.5kW continuously and 11kW for 30 minutes up to 1,500rpm, with output decreasing at higher speed. Because SJ-PF11-01Z is a special specification, use the speed and output curve assigned to the exact motor and machine.

Drive and Detector Compatibility

Mitsubishi documentation associates the SJ-PF11-01 family with MDS-B-SPJ2-110 or MDS-B-SPJ2-110C drives. Confirm the full motor label, drive, detector, feedback cable, power terminals, shaft, mounting, cooling and parameters. A standard -01 motor is not automatically interchangeable with an -01Z unit.

Testing and Installation Notes

REACO CNC checks the label, windings, insulation, thermal protector, bearings, shaft and runout, detector, connectors, noise and vibration as applicable. Use suitable lifting equipment and qualified personnel. Back up spindle parameters, align the coupling or belt drive and verify rotation before full-speed operation.
