Servo and Feedback Function

The A06B-0371-B577#7000 receives commands from a compatible FANUC servo amplifier and produces accurately controlled movement for a machine axis. Its I64 incremental pulse coder supplies position and speed feedback to the servo-control system.

Because the I64 is an incremental feedback device, this motor should not be substituted with an A64 absolute-pulse-coder version solely because the motor frame and output rating appear similar. The CNC feedback configuration, servo parameters and machine reference-return requirements must be checked.

FANUC designation information distinguishes these related Alpha 1/3000 motors:

  • A06B-0371-B077: Taper shaft, no brake, I64 pulse coder
  • A06B-0371-B575: Straight shaft, no brake, A64 absolute pulse coder
  • A06B-0371-B577: Straight shaft, no brake, I64 incremental pulse coder
  • A06B-0371-B677: Straight shaft with brake, I64 pulse coder

The A06B-0371-B577#7000 must therefore not be advertised as an A64 absolute-encoder motor or a braked servo motor.

Full-Suffix Verification

The #7000 suffix is part of the complete ordering number and should be retained in the product title, quotation and compatibility check. Other B577 variants may carry suffixes such as #0075, #7023 or #C076 with different sealing, approval, shaft-keyway or production modifications.

Before purchasing, compare the full number on the original motor nameplate. A similar A06B-0371-B577 motor with another suffix is not automatically an exact replacement for the #7000 configuration.
