The A06B-6096-H108 receives motion commands through the FSSB optical servo network and controls current supplied to one configured servo axis. It operates with a compatible FANUC power-supply module, CNC system, Alpha motor, feedback detector and parameter set. Motor selection must follow the complete machine and amplifier configuration.

External Dynamic Brake Requirement

The SVM1-360 requires an external dynamic brake module. Unlike lower-capacity SVM models with an integrated dynamic-brake function, the required DBM provides emergency motor stopping by short-circuiting the motor power lines without PWM control. Confirm that the correct DBM, wiring and contactor circuit are installed.

FSSB and Type A/B Versions

A06B-6096-H108 is the FSSB-interface SVM1-360. It should not be confused with A06B-6079-H108, the related SVM1-360 for Type A/Type B interface systems. Matching the SVM1-360 name alone is insufficient because the CNC interface and system architecture differ.

Replacement and Installation Checks

Confirm the complete A06B-6096-H108 nameplate, suffix, motor model, power-supply module, FSSB connection, DBM, cooling fans, cables and servo parameters. Back up CNC and servo data before replacement. Qualified personnel must isolate incoming power and wait for the DC link to discharge before handling the amplifier.
