FANUC documentation identifies this exact board as the 7.2-inch monochrome display inverter for the newer basic-unit configuration. Replacement must be based on the complete A20B number, CNC basic-unit number and installed display type.

The inverter board forms part of the display assembly and provides the conversion required by the LCD backlight circuit. A dark, dim, flickering or intermittent display can involve the inverter, backlight lamp, power supply, cabling, LCD panel or main board, so diagnose the fault before ordering.

Board and Display Compatibility

A20B-8002-0631 is specifically documented for a 7.2-inch monochrome LCD. Do not confuse it with A20B-8002-0632 for a 10.4-inch color LCD or A20B-8002-0633 for an 8.4-inch color LCD. A20B-8100-0710 is listed for a different 7.2-inch monochrome basic-unit configuration and is not an automatic substitute.

Confirm the board label, PCB revision, complete A02B basic-unit number, LCD size, monochrome display type, connectors and mounting points. Similar appearance within the A20B-8002-063x family does not establish compatibility.

Testing and Installation Notes
